This site is dedicated to the memory of Julie O'Neil.

Always a smile, instead of a frown, Always a hand, when one is down, Always true, thoughtful and kind, Wonderful memories she left behind. Julie was our kind hearted, beautiful, generous sister and she passed away on 22nd September 2009 at the age of just 45 after battling ovarian cancer for 16 months. Julie left behind her partner Sean, 20 year old daughter Sam, 19 year old son Adam, 3 month old grand daughter Chloe as well as loving family and friends. We are very passionate about raising awareness of ovarian cancer and what symptoms to look for, not just for women but for GPs as well, because Julie had been visiting the doctors for over 5 months before she was eventually diagnosed and only then, after visiting A & E for the 2nd time. She presented with some of the classic symptoms but still the GPs did not test for cancer. Whether an earlier diagnosis would have made any difference to Julie's eventual outcome no one can say but one thing is sure, that it would have greatly increased her chances of survival.
